Han Hee-jun, Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs in Gyeonggi Province, emphasized the importance of utilizing the "SME Field Trip Program" to address youth unemployment in the region.
During a press conference held on the 12th, Chairman Han stressed the urgent need to change the perception of young people who avoid employment in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He encouraged active participation in the "Convergence On-Site Tour" organized by the federation.
The Convergence Tour provides job seekers with opportunities to share creative ideas for SME development, learn about crisis management cases, and gain insights into business operations. The program also supports actual employment through on-site activities.
In collaboration with institutions such as the Gyeonggi Job Center, as well as universities like Gukje University, Shin Ansan University, and Yongin Songdam University, which have signed agreements with the federation, the program plans to conduct "Job Program Accompanied Interviews" by recommending job seekers.
The on-site tour will commence on the morning of the 26th at 9 a.m. from the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Support Center (GSBC) in Iui-dong, Suwon. The tour will visit C&A Industry and Seyang Co., Ltd., located in Anseong.
Following this, the group will proceed to Minjin Co., Ltd. and SH Technology Co., Ltd. in Hwaseong, where on-site interviews and recruitment procedures will take place.
Any job seeker interested in participating in the tour can apply without restrictions. The federation will provide a dedicated limousine bus to transport 30 job seekers, offering direct support for their employment.
Chairman Han stated, "While youth unemployment is a significant issue, it is also regrettable that the 'entrepreneurial mindset' among SMEs is disappearing. We aim to conduct ongoing Convergence Tours, not as one-time events, to minimize the mismatch between job seekers and hiring companies."
For detailed inquiries regarding the tour, contact the Korea Federation of SMEs in Gyeonggi Province at 259-7960~1 or the Gyeonggi Job Center at 1577-0019.
